Megan Joyce is a little girl from Winslow, Maine who is very sick. On May 20, 2005 Megan was born with Down Syndrome, 4 months later she underwent life saving open heart surgery for Septal Pulminary Stenosis, in 2010 she was diagnosed with Pre B Cell Lymphoma Cancer, on March 13, 2012 the doctors found cancer in her spine and started her on an excruciating 9 month intensive chemo and steroid treatment, and in 2013 WE ARE GOING TO BRING HER HOME! In the meantime we have come together in a central location to collaborate and address every need that this family may have, so that they need not focus on anything but taking care of their very sick daughter and each other. This is not some random cause that someone posted on your facebook wall. This is a real 6 year old girl, with a family, and now ….. hundreds of friends.

WeHelpMegan is a community that now stretches across the entire world. HUNDREDS of us have formed, to carry ONE family, while they live through a nightmare that no one should have to endure. If they have to do this alone, it will be too much. If we can spread the burden across a thousand people, then our role will be easy, and the Joyce family can focus on their daughter and each other, instead of how they are going to afford to make their house payment or put gas in the car.
